The necklace features a resin-sculpted mermaid form, developed as a visual relic rather than a complete narrative figure. The body appears suspended and partially restrained, suggesting a state of transition rather than motion — an image of presence caught between emergence and disappearance.

Shell-pearl beads form a continuous structural rhythm, contrasted with the raw tactility of the cotton cord. A natural baroque pearl is suspended at the tail end, its irregular surface preserved as a trace of time, sediment, and tidal accumulation.

The piece is conceived not as ornament, but as an artifact-like object, emphasizing material tension, balance, and restraint over decoration.
